When Changing Passwords, Make Sure They are Significantly Different Than the Old Ones
It’s a good habit to change your passwords occasionally to keep them from being stolen or guessed. However, if your new password is similar to your old one, it will be easier to guess than if you use something completely different. Don’t just change a few numbers or letters or add one or two symbols if the rest of the password is reused. This doesn’t make your password much more difficult to guess than the one you originally had.
